Are you running iOS 8?

June 23, 2017

If you are using Prayer Prompter on a device running iOS 8, Dropbox Backup and Restore will stop working for you on June 28, 2017.
That is because Dropbox is going to “turn off” the old version of their software on June 28 having replaced it with a new version. Prayer Prompter 2.5.3 released on June 5, 2017 includes revised programming code to support the new version of Dropbox Backup and Support. Unless you are running iOS 9 or later on your iPhone, iPad or iPod, you will not be able to upgrade Prayer Prompter to the new version.
What to do? Get along without Dropbox and risk losing your content at some point or get a newer device that runs iOS 9 or later. If and when you decide to do so, you can move everything from your old device to the new one including your Prayer Prompter content by using iTunes “Manual Backup and Restore” feature. (In other words, you must backup your old device manually in iTunes so that you can restore it manually to your new device.) This is the only way to preserve your Prayer Prompter content. Then, on your new device, upgrade Prayer Prompter to the latest version in the App Store and you will once again be able to use the Dropbox Backup and Restore feature. If you don’t know how to do this, go to your nearest Apple Store and they will do it for you for free.
